"Google has launched an online music store in the US, which will allow devices running its Android software to buy, store and stream MP3 files. EMI, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal and 23 independent labels are providing content to create a library of 13 million songs" -- BBC News

Currently, Apple's 'iTunes' is dominating the Market and has been since it's launch in 2003.  It's about time there was some healthy competition!  According to the BBC article, users of Google+ will be able to sync with Google Music simillar to Songify and Facebook.  Your various 'circles' will be able to see what you're listening to, and your connections will have the ability to listen to the full track once, without having to purchase it.  Songs will range from 69 cents and each day, Google Music will provide a 'free' track for download.  Currently, Google Music is only available in the USA - there are 'no current plans' to extend anywhere else in the World, but I'm sure once it's taken off, the UK will be closely following the trend.
