The process-based functionality of QualityCenter is examined in this hands-on course. Students will learn how to manage quality information throughout the development cycle, construct and organize requirements, create and execute test sets, monitor defects, and use graphs and reports to track the success of a project.

This hands-on course focuses on planning, creating and customizing Quality Centre projects. It is an important course for anyone who will be involved in creating projects, modifying existing fields, creating user defined fields, creating user defined fields, creating users, setting user permissions, and defining basic workflow.

This two-day fundamental course prepares the automation engineer to implement the Business Process testing (BPT) framework. The class includes hands-on-labs to illustrate the responsibilities of the automation engineer when implementing components for BPT. This course assumes the student has knowledge of both QA practices and QTP fundamentals.

This one-day hands-on lab is the culmination of the QualityCenter BPT Suite, as students apply the skills they learned during the week to a project-oriented scenario. Working in teams, and starting from an existing requirements document, students create components, test cases, test sets, and defect entries as they test and evaluate a working application. This highly structured experience is the perfect way to ensure a functional understanding of using Business Process Testing in QualityCenter.

This core course provides a comprehensive understanding of using QuickTest Professional as an automated functional testing tool for different environments. You will use QuickTest Professional’s graphical point and click interface to record and play back tests, add synchronization points and verification steps, as well as create multiple action tests. You will build upon fundamental topics by using debug tools to troubleshoot tests and use additional checkpoints and product options to broaden the scope of business processes that can be automated. Once tests are created, you will discover and correct common record and play back problems. All topics are supported by hands-on exercises that are based on real-life examples.

Take your functional test automation skills to the next level by learning to use the Expert View in QuickTest Professional. Through discussions and hands-on exercises, you will learn to create steps that work with dynamic objects and data, use VBScript conditional and looping statements to control the flow of your tests and components, and use Data Table methods and database connection objects to retrieve external data.

This hands-on course covers the tasks that are performed by manual SAP testers, SAP testers who have used Mercury WinRunner QTP for SAP, and technical SAP team members to create and enhance the testing of SAP 6.4–based applications.

WinRunner records user actions and application responses to create scripts that can be used as automated tests. This course teaches the fundamentals of creating and enhancing automated test scripts. After completing this course, students will be able to use WinRunner to automate functional and regression tests.

Advanced WinRunner teaches students to use programming and troubleshooting techniques to enhance their automated test scripts to achieve greater test coverage for their applications.

This suite of courses focuses on using LoadRunner to load test Web applications. You will create test scenarios and run them using the LoadRunner Controller. You will use the LoadRunner Analysis component to interpret load test results. The information gathered during planning is used to create and enhance scripts specific to Web applications using the Virtual User Generator (VuGen) component of LoadRunner. All topics are supported by hands-on exercises designed to provide you with the knowledge to load test your applications in the Web environment. A Hands-On Lab is included.

The following components of LoadRunner – LR Controller and LR Analysis are used to plan for an effective load test. You will create and run load test scenarios using the LR Controller. The LR Analysis component is used to analyze load test results. You will learn to interpret LoadRunner analysis graphs and achieve your load testing goals.

The LoadRunner Virtual User Generator (VuGen) is a scripting tool used to record and run user actions on the application to be tested. This course focuses on planning, creating and enhancing Virtual User (VUser) scripts using VuGen for load testing in the Web environment. Extensive hands-on labs equip you with the skills necessary to create effective load test scripts for load testing in the Web environment.

This one day hands-on lab is designed to provide comprehensive understanding of all the concepts learned in the LoadRunner suite of courses. The lab involves students in building an effective load testing script and then running a load test against the Mercury Tours application to achieve the given performance goals. This activity will validate your newly acquired knowledge on LoadRunner and on techniques for load testing Web systems.

Mercury Interactive's VuGen (Virtual User Generator) is a scripting tool that enables you to record and run user actions on the application you want to test. This course teaches students to create and enhance SAPWINGUI 6.2 Vusers (Virtual Users) for functional and load testing.
